This re-confirmation stupidity is really driving me nuts. How can Obama claim that "this [economic] mess" was inherited by the Bush administration, then continue the same disastrous appointments? How can a "compassionate conservative" and a liberal have the same opinions on monetary, fiscal, and foreign policy? There is no change: he did the same thing with Robert Gates. He was elected to fix the economy and end the wars. No change.

I saw a clip of a portion of the confirmation hearing. Bernanke's demeanor was nothing short of contemptful. Just the look on his face said what he was thinking. His face said "I don't have to be here listening to these idiots, and I don't have to justify what I've been doing. We are the federal reserve."

That's what I'm saying!!! There's a funny clip of him smiling then Ron Paul brought reality to him and wiped his smirk right off his beety little face. Alan Grayson also did the same thing in a different hearing.
