we can have a strong national defense without occupying 130 odd countries with 900 bases... from wars that were fought nearly 90 years ago? that doesnt make sense.
WE ARE SOCIALIZING RICH WESTERN COUNTRIES' DEFENSE AT THE EXPENSE TO OUR TREASURY!!
what ever happened to the US minding its own business? how can we claim to spread freedom by means of force? we didn't like britain telling us what to do...

I agree on some of Mr.Pauls policies. As far as propping up dictators go,the jury is still out on whether that can be worth while. What we see going on in Egypt may lend credibility to adopting the lesser of two evils.

shaw of iran breeds islamic revolution revolution.
propping up corrupt egyptians produces islamic revolution.
iraq "intervention" produces a shiite government that is pro-iranian...
we bomb pakistan, kill innocent people by accident, and still give their corrupt military dictatorship foreign aid which makes them even more pissed... and that will produce... democracy?

Anyway, I'm not going to hijacka forum about Newt Gingrich to argue about Ron Paul.

Good for you Chris! Amazing how Paul seems to pop up anywhere! I posted a link to a informal Yo-yo Ma concert last night on facebook - and the first comment said, "RON PAUL 2012!" Geesh, these guys gotta get over it!

Newt has really skyrocketed in the polls. The rise is way too fast, but timely. Moving into the holidays he will probably hold the position thru January. The MSM has other stuff to do before they tear him down. They are already starting with his immigration policy. They have two angles to criticize it.One with Hispanics as being too harsh, and one with conservatives as being "amnesty". The reason they can do that is because it's the closest thing to a solution that I can see that follows logical steps. The first being close the borders. If he can do that it's at least a good start. Before you can repair a wound you at least have to stop the bleeding.
