Dolphins have been declared the world’s second most intelligent creatures after humans, with scientists suggesting they are so bright that they should be treated as “non-human persons”.

Makes sense.
What evidence do these "scientists" propose?
1. Brain mass versus body mass.
2. Vague discussion of "culture".
3. "Problem solving ability".
The question we have to ask is, "What is a person"? Why do Dolphins or other Cetecians deserve "personhood"?
What are the ramifications of declaring Dolphins to be persons?
Last question - it is possible to communicate with any other sort of person. What sort of communication has been realized with Dolphins? If such communication exists why wasn't it cited in this article?
