Gen. 1:26 "Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness..."
This is a favorite quote amongst my fellow pagans that seems to point out that there is another God with God when He created man.
Jesus, next question! There are entire books writen about your favorite verse. Man was made in Gods image Jesus became man in the flesh... see the theme here?
Who exactly is God talking to if there is only one God?

Not really my favorite verse considering I'm not one to care about proving this or that about anyone elses religion.
Secondly, I've been told that Jesus is God incarnate by other Christians. Is this true or a misunderstanding?

Okay, let me first state that I mean no offense by any of these inquiries. I respect Christians and all other beliefs. I ask questions to learn, not poke fun at or try to prove some ridiculous point. To me religion is a beautiful thing (as long as it doesn't involve killing of life to persuade conversion).
Now to my point, if Jesus and God are one in the same then why does Gen 1:26 state "in our image" instead of simply saying in my image?

Hey Eric, I thought PAGANS weren't into proselytizing. But you sure seem to be doing a lot of it here.
Where have I proselytized? I don't remember trying to convert anyone to my heathen beliefs.
John 1:vs 1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.
Just in case you miss the understanding. The Word is Jesus, the Son of Jehovah. Jehovah is God the Father. And the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. So lets make man in OUR image means exactly that.

NP Eric I usually don't get offended by opions there like you know whats and every body has one even me... lol. I have actually looked into that verse alot because I come from a long line of masons. Not brick layers but hand shakes and robes masons. I have lots of books that have been handed down to me some only five prints were ever made. That verse is used alot in masonry well in the higher degrees any how. They believe it means that man was made to be a god. But in the time of Nimrod God became jealous and took away all our super powers and stuff and hid all the great books and knowledge and it is there job to get it all back. I see Nick Cage in a new movie eh. But that is not what the Bible teaches at all. for more stay tuned to this thread.
ERIK SAID: "Proselytizing is an attempt to convert people to whatever belief system."
So what should lead any of us to believe you have no desire to convert us? If you have no desire to convert us why do you always make such a big point about what your religious views are - even when you're ostensibly talking about politics?
That's pretty typical of how proselytizers proselytize. They go around trying to engage people in conversation about their religious beliefs. And that's pretty much all you've done here. So why shouldn't I think you're trying to proselytize?

I have much respect for the Masons. Interesting viewpoint on the verse though. LoL at Nick Cage. Consider me tuned in. :)

You're proselytizing all over the place. If you're not why do you keep rubbing our faces in the fact that you're a pagan? Why would anyone care? It's like gays who say they're not trying to convert anybody but they never stop telling us how gay they are!Proselytizing is an attempt to convert people to whatever belief system. Plus, I see many on here who post prayers concerning their religions, can I not do that? Am I forbidden since I'm not Christian? Sorry that my beliefs offend you. You shouldn't be. I'm glad no one cares. That's how it should be, but obviously you have this chip on your shoulder to accuse me of doing something I'm not. So either respond to the intended question of this thread or leave me alone. Block me if I'm such a nuisance to you. Sheesh!
simmer dawn nah.

Because my nature is to be more blunt and not hide my intentions behind a veil. I engage in conversation to learn, not convert. There are people out there who do that.

See as a Christian I believe Jesus walked with Adam in the Garden, taught him and gave him the foundation of what was passed on after the fall. I believe that when the first books of the torah where written there was little confusion about it all.
That's the first time I've ever heard of that and for some reason it's quite beautiful.

The Bible also talks about those who where in and among the people before the flood that were not human and they liked the ladies if you know what I mean.
Are you talking about the nephelims?
