I have found Yahoo!Answers to be a very useful site for information on topics when I can't find what I need on Wiki. However, other people I know (particularly vocal conservatives) have complained of heavy political censorship on Y!A. While I have noticed other conservatives asking trolling questions and have avoided the same practice, there are just two (2) questions during my decade of patronage that have been deleted for unspecified reasons. Both had "additional details" in which I elaborated further on what I was asking. These must be re-created from memory, since these cannot be re-accessed. And then, one of the two questions can't be retrieved at all because it doesn't even show up in the list. It was deleted without a trace. I'm not alleging a conspiracy here, but those ideas do get thrown around these days and if I got suspicions, I ain't sayin what they are. I want to know what other people think. Because frankly, yahoo's choice of what questions to delete can be just plain weird.
1st question (asked years ago, and deleted without a trace):
Anyone else have this problem with a blood center?
Add'l Details: I agreed to a platelet donation, which involved being hooked up to one of those machines. They said at the time that platelets are replenished in 3 days time. I went back about 10 weeks later and when they did the routine check of my blood counts, they remarked "your numbers came back up really fast." I volunteered for another of the same type of donation, and I noticed my immune system wasn't as good going into the winter season. It was an assortment of colds and flus that winter and my immune system couldn't keep up with all the germs, whereas I usually am not affected nearly as much as the average person.
Needless to say, I never actually got any answer to this one. So, if anyone can tell me something about the question itself OR the reason why it was deleted, please hollar back.
Question 2:
What's with all the white rabbits on TV shows?
Add'l Details: I heard that they were an esoteric symbol of some sort. Is this true?
That's right, I wasn't allowed to ask this question! If you think you can ask this seemingly innocent question on Yahoo!Answers, well... you try it!
Another question that was deleted:
MSG and vitamin B deficiency symptoms??
Add'l Details: Whenever I eat MSG (monosodium glutamate), I get muscle cramps in my lower back or legs and cracking/redness at the corners of my mouth. I read these are symptoms of vitamin B deficiency and sure enough, a b-100 vitamin pill fixes it. Does anyone else get this?
Later, I realized I didn't properly phrase the question and I know that questions sometimes (but only sometimes) get deleted for this reason alone. So, I have to re-post it properly and THEN get it deleted to claim any funni-ness here. I still suspect it wasn't just my grammar.
