Exactly Nathan. I said that kind of toung in cheek. $5.00 per gallon gas will destroy our economy long before a single track could be laid. The thing is that it's their goal to make driving unaffordable and force everyone on trains. The same as they want petrolium to be priced higher than "green technology". If we won't let them tax it to that level they will just reguate it to that level.

Hey, can you guys believe the way even Fox News gets sucked in by Leftists. They have a guy on now named Ahmed Rehab, an American citizen who is in Egypt.
On the screen they're calling him a "DEMOCRACY ACTIVIST"!
Don't they know that ALWAYS means Communist or anti-American or pro-Jihad? So this guy is spewing his anti-Mubarak propaganda while the girl on Fox News just eats it up. Unbelievable.

Again your point is well taken. In effect, you are saying that BHO will use the rising gas prices to plug his call for more needless spending for rail travel and make more affordable the ethanol subsidies, etc -- thus spiking food prices.
I've thought for sometime, that with more of the populous riding rail, there would be more opportunity for terrorists' suicide bombers. Could this "plan" be intended in some malevolent corner of Barack Hussein's Obama's pro loyalist Muslim brain?

You know Jonathan, I'm torn on this one. As much as I would love to see Mubarak gone and replaced by a democratic form of government with human rights and freedom I can't help but feel his removal won't accomplish that. Look at the problems there are in setting up a democracy in Iraq. And we controle the country. Muslim countries need to be ruled with an iron hand. Islam is totally incompatable with free society. As bad as Mubarak is. Better the devil you know. At least you have a chance at some reform.

I still think that our State Dept. should review the former Iran crisis and the late GWBush Administration's backing of elections in Gaza. In each instance our nation's policy and actions turned out unfavorably, not only for our own national interests, but for the world's and especially, Israel.

Chris -- Yes. A no win situation. A similar reason I always thought that it was ill-advised on GWBush's part to think that he could Westernize the Middle East with some type of American Democracy.
Look what is happening in Iraq. Christians are fleeing because of the persecution. What good was it that our country's financial resources were spent in that area of the world -- and, especially, our American blood spilled over there for this continued tyranny?

Why is Muslim Brotherhood CAIR on FOX news right now? The Islamic supremacist Ahmed Rehab is on FOX denouncing Mubarak, advocating for overthrow.
Rehab is in Egypt right now. How coincidental. The American Muslim Brotherhood in America is in Egypt as the Muslim Brotherhood plots to take over that secular Arab country.
Rehab: "It pains me that my own government back home supports a dictator....."
Horrible. We expect this from the leftist apologist cable networks, but FOX is dangerous because they pretend to get it.
CAIR has been sending out press releases pushing Obama to push Mubarak out (so, inevitably, ElBaradei, Iran and the Brotherhood can take over).
If anyone can get video -- please send it. FOX must stop this propagandizing for the
Brotherhood via CAIR. Or at least identify them as such. Why do they cover for them?

We are going to make the same mistake we did with the Shaw of Iran. This will completely surround Israel and the whole world will risk incineration. If the Muslim Brotherhood succeeds in taking over ever US friendly nation in the area we in America can rest assured that our nations supply of oil is going to dry up fast. I have since learned that there is a massive oil deposit in the center of our nation that contains more oil in every Middle East nation. This oil should allow the US to be completely free of Middle East oil for the next two hundred years. We also have some of the largest coal reserves in the nation as well but do gooders have seen to it that our own domestic energy sources are taboo. The people who run our nation now are not concerned with the People of the United States. They are only concerned with maintaining power and to allow our nation to loose its own national identity and become part of the one world order and we are going to allow them to do it. We already are letting them get away with murder. The people we elect professional politicians whose only interest is maintaining power and wealth. When a person like me steps forward and tells the People that I will restore the Constitution to its rightful place I am chastized for having the temerity for even thinking about running for the Office of the Presidency.
