  I'm not going to freak out over this. I won't allow myself to lose sleep. I simply don't see that there will be that drastic of spike in gas prices.

  
  Why? Because BHO wants to become re-elected. If gas spikes, the Dems and Obama lose big time, come the 2012 elections. That means a super GOP majority in all branches of gov't.

  Gas here in Illinois is already fluctuating between $3.19 and $3.29.... they're predicting $5.00 by this summer and that was before all of this ... add to that the market took a dive today.... we're in trouble folks and you can bet Obama is already meeting with the other Traitors on how he can use this to his advantage..
  with ya Rowena... I can't understand the people who still blindly follow this Imitation President... ( that hurt calling him President)

  Judy, whenever I have to use the words President and Obama in the same sentence, one following the other, I always insert this phrase: [alleged].  Example:  [alleged] President Obama spoke on the Egyptian unrest today.

  Right now the people hold the cards in Egypt. Right now is the time for the whole western world to make it perfectly clear that they have 100% suppport for them and their country provided they install a secular democratic form of government. If they allow an Islamic state to emerge they will be on their own. Their choice is do they want a future like Iraq, or one like Iran. They must choose their friends carefully.

  After reading through all the comments I have to agree with those that say we won't have time to readjust to the new prices on gas. There is no "party" in control with a person waiting in the wings to take over, there is only the Muslim Brotherhood that is organized and being fed by their need to take over. Unless someone stronger appears on the scene I fear the Muslim Brotherhood will win out. When that happens the Suez Canal will be under their control and the supply of oil also under their control. Prices will skyrocket quickly and that in on all things from gas to bread. Yes, things could get nasty here and many other parts of the world. Israel will be their next target if they win in Egypt, then on to the U.S. as the ugly wart on the face of this great nation continues to give our country over to them.

  God will protect His chosem people and He will protect us if we just turn back to Him. Oh, we may need to fight and be willing to die for our Freedom, but He will give us ever lasting life for our efforts as long as we put Him in front and try to show others the true path to His door.

  I think its time to buy another gun... Am I understanding this right? You get a 500 student upset about something, they take to the street in protest... Then another very well trained group of about 200 comes in and takes over the protest and starts causing major destruction... ????

  News is reporting that the Egyptian protests are this morning peaceful. The army is siding with the people, and the protestors are welcoming the media. These I see as good signs, but with caution. Hopefully there are enough enlightened people that will reject another opressive form of government. Mubarak is still holding tight and appointing a new cabinet. Hopefully when he's done he will leave.

  Seems things are heating up Chris, more violence, looting and the crowds are growing. However you are correct that the military seems to be siding with the protesters so that is a good sign. The police are all but gone.

  However, these can't be built overnight. And, I still contend that gas prices, if they continue to spike, will not increase that rapidly overnight.
  
  Also, I don't see the Egyptian crisis having the massive devastating effect on the USA as much as some would like to insinuate and / or, portray. If we all fall head over heels in fear of Obama and his dismantling of America, he is given more opportunity and will seize more influence to effect quicker malevolent national change.
