This may have been addressed already, so if it has I do apologize. Is it true that Obama had the head of the Muslim Brotherhood to dinner at the White House last year? Is this possibly a coordinated effort set up by our own President? It just seems that once you connect the dots, they seem to go full circle right back to that Usurper. It's late, but when I get up tomorrow I will go through all of the replies in this thread. Something just isn't right with all of this. We're talking about a county that's 95% Muslim, so the obvious choice for them would be to have a group such as the Muslim Brotherhood calling the shots. Obama did give a speech there in Egypt last year praising the Muslim brotherhood. That man just makes me sick. I cringe just by seeing his face.

Evil but brilliant and it will get Obama reelected because he is going to Create millions of jobs.

Self determination for the people of Egypt is all well and good. If they succeed in removing Mubarak they will get the government they ask for. They will hold pseudo elections, and given the Muslim population vote themselves a theocracy. Good for them. What isn't getting anywhere near enough play is the one world wide issue. Control of the Suez Canal. That ladies and gentlemen has world wide repecussions. Everything the west gets from the far east including China, and the middle east including oil most likely travels thru the canal. It's the thing world wars are made of.
Suez Canal
The Suez Canal, mostly man made, connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea through the Gulf of Suez.
The canal opened in 1869, and remains one of the planet's busiest shipping lanes. Through it the vast percentage of Europe's energy needs are transported from the Middle East oil fields.
This vital corridor of commerce has been closed by war twice. The most recent closing occurred during the Six-Day War (in 1967), a brief war between Israel and its Arab neighbors.
I wish some leaders would step up and take seriously the oath to the Constitution they took, without having to get some fancy talking attorney to justify thier unconstitutional positions! The document was written in a way that everyone could comprehend it!
It takes a lot of courage for a group of people to speak for the world to hear. The retribution could be phenomenal, but at least we are willing to take a stand on U.S. Constitutional beliefs.
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law are hereby told to get out of the United States of America, as WE THE PEOPLE are targeting radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks by Muslims and the followers of Al-Quida in particular. But, for anyone to think we are distracted away from other terrorist acts, be it tyranny from government or some individual that thinks they can make a difference, be forewarned, WE are targeting you as well!
WE THE PEOPLE, Yankee Patriots in particular, do not really care if we aNger some kinda group We will support any attempt to monitor and stop the killing of Yankees everywhere. If you want to kill us, don't invite our dollars, we will squash you like a bug and the country that supports you!
'IMMIGRANTS, NOT PATRIOTS MUST ADAPT.. Take It Or Leave It.
we are tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some group or their culture. We have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Yankees.'
Our culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society. Learn the language! If you do not want to, fine, then leave!
This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools and government buildings. If God offends you, WE suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If you except us to respect yours, you have to respect ours first. After all you came here, we did not go there!
We have bent over back-wards to accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us. Remember you came here for a reason. If that reason was to change our culture into yours, YOU ARE GOING TO FAIL! uNLESS YOU INTEND ON KILLING ALL OF US, WE SUGGEST YOU GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM! If you came from here and you believe that you can terrorize us into believing that our Constitution and republic is wrong. We will kill you or you will kill yourself. Do yourself a favor and look it up!
This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, WE highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Yankee freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'
If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here we didn't even force you to be born here. You or your parents asked to be here. So accept the country YOU live in or get the hell out! You live in a Republic, not a democracy and YOU can change things based on the Constitution that formed it. If you think you can KILL the desire for freedom every where in the world, especially here, please hurry up so WE can deal with you! We are all tired of having to fight stupidity!

Robyn Starnes, Nice posting! I'm referring to your 1/30/11 -- 8:50 PM EST posting. Your one paragraph reference to the origins of the present day Muslim / Islamic conflict is really at the heart of this everyday modern struggle with the Muslim world -- and, what is unfolding in Eygpt. Your insightful posting gave me the opportunity of something that I've always desired to do. That, namely, to present the Biblical [Divine revelation] historical perspective of this ongoing Muslim / Islamic terrorism infestation. I just posted a new blog on Freedom Torch. I am sure that you will appreciate it, and most everyone, who has an appreciation for history: "Origins of Muslim / Islamic Confrontation, Turmoil and Jihad:" http://freedomtorch.com/blogs/12090/2196/origins-of-muslim-islamic-conf This short history, should help everyone out who is following the present day Middle East, Egyptian government, upheaveal.........
I like to keep it simple...Thank you
Has "Human" (PC) replaced "Individual"? Has "Social" (PC) replaced "Equal"? If so you are a Progressive that no longer believes in anything the United States of America is! We are not of "this world," we have fought long and hard to make make sure the rest of the world knew that. When the rest of the world called on US to save it, we did so! That's what WE do! We did not expect ANYTHING back, at the time, and WE certainly haven't gotten it! WW1, WW2, The Cold War, etc.
Most of us are tired of being FORCED to believe that "HUMAN RIGHTS" are more important than individual rights! We are tired of being told that "SOCIAL JUSTICE" is better than equal justice! The thought of it causes our nipples to get hard and goose bumps to appear, we are YANKEE REBELS (Yankee Patriots), we have always fought against this PC thinking and WE MUST always fight against it! Otherwise, WE are no different than the rest and the fight against tyranny is LOST!
WE are not a Democracy, WE are not Politically Correct, WE are the only HOPE for the individual and the ONLY chance for justice the world has left! WE ARE YANKEES, WE are REBELS, WE are DIFFERENT! Do WE have to go to a different planet, like WE did when we form our Republic, to make the rest of this world understand LIFE, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS? So be it! All funding for what we do now goes to finding a planet that WE can go to form a world that understands that WE have inalienable rights when we are born. To name a few, LIFE, LIBERTY, and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS. HOW HARD COULD THAT BE TO UNDERSTAND? Should WE hire an attorney or vote for someone more intelligent than us to tell us what they think WE should think?
FINE, then let US leave! Allow all funding, all your money, to go to getting rid of ALL Yankees and find us a planet (world) WE can go to! WE used boats last time, WE have to use SPACE CRAFTS this time! There has to be a planet you can send us to somewhere in the Universe. RIGHT! Otherwise, WE are not going away, ever! Democracy and Political Correctness has tried to get rid of US forever and WILL always fail, as long as God gives a crap what happens here!
Political correctness (adjectivally, politically correct; both forms commonly abbreviated to PC) is a term which denotes language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social and institutional offense in occupational, gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, disability, and age-related contexts. In current usage, the term is primarily pejorative, while the term politically incorrect has been used as an implicitly positive self-description. Examples of the latter include the conservative Politically Incorrect Guides published by the Regnery editorial house and the television talk show Politically Incorrect. In these cases, the term politically incorrect connotes language, ideas, and behavior unconstrained by a perceived orthodoxy or by concerns about offending or expressing bias regarding various groups of people.
PC directly addresses the 1st Amendment. Where does all this stuff come from? – the victim feminism, the gay rights movement, the invented statistics, the rewritten history, the lies, the demands, all the rest of it – where does it come from? For the first time in our history, Americans have to be fearful of what they say, of what they write, and of what they think. They have to be afraid of using the wrong word, a word denounced as offensive or insensitive, or racist, sexist, or homophobic.
We have seen other countries, particularly in this century, where this has been the case. And we have always regarded them with a mixture of pity, and to be truthful, some amusement, because it has struck us as so strange that people would allow a situation to develop where they would be afraid of what words they used. But we now have this situation in this country. We have it primarily on college campuses, but it is spreading throughout the whole society. Were does it come from? What is it?
We call it “Political Correctness.” The name originated as something of a joke, literally in a comic strip, and we tend still to think of it as only half-serious. In fact, it’s deadly serious. It is the great disease of our century, the disease that has left tens of millions of people dead in Europe, in Russia, in China, indeed around the world. It is the disease of ideology. PC is not funny. PC is deadly serious.
If we look at it analytically, if we look at it historically, we quickly find out exactly what it is. Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back not to the 1960s and the hippies and the peace movement, but back to World War I. If we compare the basic tenets of Political Correctness with classical Marxism the parallels are very obvious.
First of all, both are totalitarian ideologies. The totalitarian nature of Political Correctness is revealed nowhere more clearly than on college campuses, many of which at this point are small ivy covered North Koreas, where the student or faculty member who dares to cross any of the lines set up by the gender feminist or the homosexual-rights activists, or the local black or Hispanic group, or any of the other sainted “victims” groups that PC revolves around, quickly find themselves in judicial trouble. Within the small legal system of the college, they face formal charges – some star-chamber proceeding – and punishment. That is a little look into the future that Political Correctness intends for the nation as a whole.
Indeed, all ideologies are totalitarian because the essence of an ideology (I would note that conservatism correctly understood is not an ideology) is to take some philosophy and say on the basis of this philosophy certain things must be true – such as the whole of the history of our culture is the history of the oppression of women. Since reality contradicts that, reality must be forbidden. It must become forbidden to acknowledge the reality of our history. People must be forced to live a lie, and since people are naturally reluctant to live a lie, they naturally use their ears and eyes to look out and say, “Wait a minute. This isn’t true. I can see it isn’t true,” the power of the state must be put behind the demand to live a lie. That is why ideology invariably creates a totalitarian state.
Second, the cultural Marxism of Political Correctness, like economic Marxism, has a single factor explanation of history. Economic Marxism says that all of history is determined by ownership of means of production. Cultural Marxism, or Political Correctness, says that all history is determined by power, by which groups defined in terms of race, sex, etc., have power over which other groups. Nothing else matters. All literature, indeed, is about that. Everything in the past is about that one thing.
Third, Let me be clear!
Tyranny has convinced us that we must pay for our mistakes, right? Yet when we make them, tyranny decides that our friends, neighbors and family must pay to make ALL mistakes politically correct and force us to be charitable.
Look I don't mind being charitable to those that need charity! But for those that excect it, the ones taking the oath to save them should be at NO CHARGE, to us or to the government that we PAY for!
Look it's real damn simply! If you are in it for the almighty dollar, you are in the wrong business, get the **** out!
I sympathies for the doctors, but if you have become a doctor because the regulations and costs have convinced you that you deserve better than I, **** you, you are wrong! You have to save me, at NO cost to my government (ME)! Don't become a DOCTOR unless you are willing to do it for nothing! NOTHING! Do you hear me? NOTHING! If you do not what to save me for FREE, despite weather or not you can live in your fancy house, drive your fancy car, golf whenever you want, send your children to the better schools, take a vacation when ever you want, feel like a god, and make us pay for it all, Then you are in the wrong business! YOU OWE ME, NOT GOVBERNMENT, ME, BECAUSE I AM GOVERNMENT! Don't you forget it!!!!
Tell government you work for me, send them your bill, personally! NO YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND! Send your bill to their house, not mine! They have made your job impossible, not me!
Most AMERICANS will pay you now! YOU TAKE AN OATH FOR THE REST OF THEM! Then you DARE charge me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You asshole!
Look, I understand your dilemma, you are usually required to get this little piece of paper on the wall that you can help me. FINE, don't take the ****-in oath, you are out for the money required to pay back the government required loans it took to get you where you are. Why don't you admit that? All you really want is the god complex you get from the government education you paid for, or did you?
TELL GOVERNMENT TO KEEP THE MONEY THAT THEY DON'T HAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND THAT YOU WILL STARVE BEFORE YOU TAKE MONEY FROM THE NATION GOVERNMENT OLIGARPPHY! YOU WILL ONLY TAKE HELP FROM LOCAL, STATE AND ORGANIZATION WILLING TO HELP! Otherwise you will save me, no matter if you get paid or not!
You doctors have the power to save America, quit being so damn selfish!!!!
Fourth, both economic and cultural Marxism rely on expropriation. When the classical Marxists, the communists, took over a country like Russia, they expropriated the bourgeoisie, they took away their property. Similarly, when the cultural Marxists take over a university campus, they expropriate through things like quotas for admissions. When a white student with superior qualifications is denied admittance to a college in favor of a black or Hispanic who isn’t as well qualified, the white student is expropriated. And indeed, affirmative action, in our whole society today, is a system of expropriation. White owned companies don’t get a contract because the contract is reserved for a company owned by, say, Hispanics or women. So expropriation is a principle tool for both forms of Marxism.
And finally, both have a method of analysis that automatically gives the answers they want. For the classical Marxist, it’s Marxist economics. For the cultural Marxist, it’s deconstruction. Deconstruction essentially takes any text, removes all meaning from it and re-inserts any meaning desired. So we find, for example, that all of Shakespeare is about the suppression of women, or the Bible is really about race and gender. All of these texts simply become grist for the mill, which proves that “all history is about which groups have power over which other groups.” So the parallels are very evident between the classical Marxism that we’re familiar with in the old Soviet Union and the cultural Marxism that we see today as Political Correctness.
Over 80 years of brainwashing. Our leaders have convinced us that without the overwhelming intelligence of the NATIONAL GORVERNMENT OLIGARCHY that your State governments could not do anything. They have brainwashed us into thinking our State governments would completely fall apart and fail us without thier one-size fits all solutions. This insults the hard work and intelligence of all State governments. It also enables State officials to be lazy and blame the National Government for what goes wrong in their State. The same paradigm automatically filters down to Local governments and then to you. I mean, after all, if you can blame someone else for something, you will. Human Rights have now trumped Individual Rights because of this back wards paradigm and, of course, Social Justice has followed suite by replacing Equal Justice. All of this BRAIWASHING must be reversed. It is TOTALLY back wards!
Who is running America? Have you ever asked that question?
Under the doctrine of Parens Patriae, "Government As Parent", as a result of the manipulated bankruptcy of the United States of America in 1930, ALL the assets of the American people, their person, and of our country itself are held by the Depository Trust Corporation at 55 Water Street, NY, NY, secured by UCC Commercial Liens, which are then monetized as "debt money" by the Federal Reserve. It may interest you to know that under the umbrella of the Depository Trust Corporation lies the CEDE Corporation, the Federal Reserve Corporation, the American Bar Association, the legal arm of the banking interests, and the Internal Revenue Service, the system's collection agency.
Now you know who is running The United States Of America! YOU will certainly have NO say until YOU get educated! DEAL WITH IT!

I start from the premise that whatever Obama does - it will be wrong. Because you can always assume that with Leftists and you'll always be right!
Obama has made it public that they are going to withdraw support for Mubarak. They've announced publicly that they're going to "review" U.S. aid to Egypt which is the diplomatic say of saying SCREW YOU MUBARAK. They've not uttered one word of support for the Mubarak government all day today.
This is EXACTLY LIKE Jimmy Carter and Iran. Thirty-two years ago in 1979 Jimmy Carter pushed the Shah of Iran out of office because Carter didn't like him. He thought he was a little too dictatorial. Carter had no understanding whatsoever of what it was like to be a secular leader in an Islamic country that had the Islamists banging on the doors of power. Eventually the Shah fell and the evil era known as the "Islamic Republic of Iran" was ushered in.
It's alarming that today the Obama administration is out calling Mubarak an "authoritarian." Yes, he is an authoritarian but the question is, what does he use his authority to do? And in his case it is used mostly to quash the Islamists (terrorists) from taking over the country.
And if Mubarak falls, that's what is most likely to happen. The Islamists will take over in the name of the Muslim Brotherhood and strongly backed by Iran.
That's what's going on in Egypt. And everything I see coming out of the Obama administration is an exact replica of what came out of the Carter administration in 1979.
Yes, Mubarak is an authoritarian. But he's an authoritarian fighting Islamists! Mubarak is also a secular leader. He has faithfully kept the Israeli-Egyptian peace deal that was brokered by his assassinated predecessor, Anwar Sadat. And he's kept to those promises and has lived peacefully with Israel for 30 years. Mubarak has been a staunch fighter against the Islamists/terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood and he has been a faithful friend to Israel and the U.S. In a country like Egypt, the United States AND the world cannot afford to see Mubarak overthrown with the great likelihood that the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran will take over. We warned Jimmy Carter of this in 1979 - that if he didn't support the Shah (even with all his flaws) something much worse would come. Now it's happening all over again.
If we don't support Mubarak -- even with all his flaws, I can guarantee you (as any conservative could) that something much worse will follow and the world will become a noticeably more dangerous and precarious place!
Saddam Hussein? In reverse??? Mubarak secular dictator ship is good Saddam's secular dictatorship is bad? The Shah that was replaced thus bring about the Iraq Iran war were we installed Saddam? Seems like when USA place Risk with the world we get trouble. Our "Republic" is playing Risk with 135 countries right now. I smell CIA picking thier next overthrow.

Mary Ann....I ain't burying my head, I just realize that at this juncture there is NOTHING WE CAN DO. You have tens if not hundreds of thousands in the streets, and the military doing nothing. If this was going to be put down, it needed to be put down immediately, and that didn't happen. Were we supposed to say we support Mubarak and any methods necessary to regain control, even if it meant killing many? Looking back, the case can be made that the US might have made remarks that emboldened the protestors (both BO and GB's staff), but it's not like I follow Egypt that closely and even if it occurred, once the insurrection started, there was nothing we could do RIGHT NOW except for what we actually did. No one would support sending troops to Egypt. No one would support an armed response from Egypt's military..it would have been roundly condemned. So what was there to do AT THIS POINT other than to work the back channels? And even though I believe that WE would be better off with Mubarak in power, that really doesn't matter to the people that are actually Egyptians and live there as citizens...other than to possibly make the average Egyptian hate us even more for propping up someone they hate. We need to be more concerned with making ourselves self-reliant and strong enough to deal with consequences of foreign nations decisions...not propping up hated rulers in foreign nations to make things easier on us to continue being irresponsible, and then wondering why large parts of the world hate us. No one knows what is happening behind the scenes anyway..our respective militaries have a close relationship, and that at least gives me hope that a smooth transitiion in government can be made, and another Iran does not happen...but no one knows.
Ray, you have made some wise observations! Almost echoes the conversation my son and I had this weekend about how can we really know what is really going on there and how everything is not about what is best for the US. We meddle too much. We need to make our own country strong and take care of business here at home but will never happen, and especially under Obama. He terrifies me.

Agreed Phyllis...if we spent as much time worrying about our managing our affairs is a responsible and acceptable way, we'd worry a lot less about things in general.
