"In April 1968, we lost this great man to gun violence and hatred. Two months later, another gunman fired a bullet into Robert Kennedy. In the next 43 years, the list of gun victims has exceeded one million people, according to both the Children's Defense Fund and the Brady Campaign. Despite all of our progress in our society, one thing remains the same today as in 1968, someone with questionable background can still legally buy a gun too easily. Unless something is done, the question remains who will be the next victim to fall." [Eliot Engel, 17th Congressional District]
This message warns us of the plans our Congressman have to take away our 2nd Amendment. I am old enough to remember the assassinations of 1968. At no time did the police arrest a gun for the crime. At not time did the news media report a history of the gun. At no time did the courts put the gun in jail.
