Now, all you Beckers out there give me a chance to ask some questions before you tear me to shreds. There are 3 or 4 things about Mr. Beck that bother me...otherwise he is a fine individual.
1. Why doesn't Beck acknowledge the controvesy surrounding Barack Obama's lack of eligibility to be President? I realize that no one else in the media is talking about it, either. But Beck talks about a LOT of things the rest of the lame-stream media doesn't cover. What's so different about Obama's eligibility? Does it bother anyone else that Mr. Beck, while a guest on Bill O'Reilly's show, called people like me who question Obama's eligibility "crazy," "loony," or "stupid?"
2. During Mr. Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally, supposedly to honor our military men and women, why did he not talk about Lt. Colonel Terry Lakin? Lakin will be court martialed in December for supposedly refusing to follow orders. Lakin asked to see Obama's qualifications to be Commander in Chief. Every hearing along the way has thwarted any attempt to help Lt. Col. Lakin mount a defense. He wasn't allowed to seek discovery of documents; he won't be allowed any witnesses at his upcoming trial in December. Fair? Not to me, but then nothing that Bambi & The Thugs do is really fair, is it? So, why is Mr. Beck not covering this story?
3. Why isn't Mr. Beck covering the story of the Leavenworth 10? These soldiers and Marines are incarcerated at Fort Leavenworth for killing members of al-Qaida or Iraqi insurgents. These committed soldiers who honorably served their country, achieving a significant number of combat medals over multiple deployments, are now serving sentences ranging between 10 and 40 years. Why isn't this newsworthy?
Please, I really want to know why no one at Fox news--the supposed "fair and balanced" network--is talking about Lt. Col. Lakin, the Leavenworth 10, or dozens of other military officers who have dared to question Obama's authority to give them orders.
I agree with you 100%. On FB, many rag on GB because of this. I won't do that since I do think he does do a lot of good but his love of the Constitution and "Questioning with Boldness" does not mesh with his supposed attitude on the eligibility question. And calling people who don't agree with him names like that is not really like him either. I almost thought he was doing that in a way that said "Folks I don't really mean this - I'm being sarcastic and wish I didn't have to be". O'Really on the other hand is a materialistic opportunist and will play middle of the road as long as he keeps his spot on Fox. Again, not covering Lt Colonel Lakin goes along with this whole avoidance issue. I really dislike it and am disappointed in GB but I suppose he must feel that having that position to educate people abt so many things is more important than exposing truthfully the Birther's issues. I don't. I think its the most important issue of our time in this country. But concerning your last paragraph, Fox news is VERY slowly so no one notices - becoming more & more intolerant of what's seen as right wing conspiracy theories. Like when the reports came out that 60% believe BO is a Muslim or whatever - WHENEVER it was spoken of on Fox news - they ALL say after mentioning that statistic - "Of course he's not a Muslim. President Obama is a Christian". the same words as if they had ALL been given the SCRIPT. Every last one from Cavuto to Meghan to Greta to Shep - All say the EXACT same words. Hannity is pretty quiet on the matter, but then again he's friends with Rush, who apparently is becoming quite open about the matter. O'Really, what an ass, said "We've seen the Hawaiian birth certificate". So what. First of all, he's LYING, second of all, so what, his "seeing" that bogus image means nothing. You cannot TELL me they have researchers who can find out the backgrounds of Soros and all the communists BO frolicked with all his life, but not find out what some of us with some time and the patience to really dig around; even we found out what was up when BO was FIRST NOMINATED! I said "Who's this guy? I don't think I like him." and then I set about to FIND OUT who he is. The only one I admit to not recognizing is the info in #3, but I'll look into it. Anyway, excellent post, MAH. I hope some others respond.
Right, Dawn, I think impeach is the wrong thing--he needs to be "disqualified," and those complicit with the cover-up also need to be disqualified (Pelosi, Reed, Biden, H. Clinton, etc.). Disqualifying him would make every action he has taken thus far "null and void" and save us from having to undo all his dastardly deeds.
I just happened across a post I wrote to Megan Kelly on her FB page. She was on the Factor saying she had investigated the Birther story and that the Birther Movement had not gained traction... LOL! Here is what I wrote and then people actually wrote to defend her:)
"Do you REALIZE what a FOOL you made of yourself on O'Really's show the other night? PRETENDING you had "investigated" the "Birther" story. You really need to get a grip. To those of us (and there are MANY) who have researched this issue for YEARS now, you & O'Really just sounded ridiculous. We are USED to O'Really sounding ridiculous (He SAW the birth certificate?? That's what he said one of the last times he brought it up. So funny) But come on. Others agreed with me - your words & expression were stilted. You were putting forth an agreed upon script - you knew your words were false. Don't sell our intelligence short, Megan. You simply end up showing that you have no idea what you are talking about. The "birther movement" has not "gained traction"? Please! Do your homework. Don't you realize how many of us know he's a Usurper? The TRUE issue is the Election Fraud issue that occurred to get Obama's name on the state ballots. It involves the highest echelon of the Democratic Party. It really has NOTHING to do with him "showing his real birth certificate". He could have been born in the Lincoln bedroom. He STILL would not be eligible to be our POTUS. If you'd like to enlighten yourself, and keep up with your viewers on the subject so you don't sound so foolish, feel free to contact me. Dawn G. SC "
I was fed up with the Fox talking heads that night, as you can tell - lol.
Way to go, Dawn! That was really good! Did you ever go search on the "Leavenworth 10?" It is the saddest story I've ever heard. Allen West actually went to visit the Leavenworth 10 while he was campaigning. He knows what's going on. I'm curious to know whether he'll make any moves to help them once he actually gets to Congress.
There are so many people out there who believe that they are getting ALL the news when the watch FOX. They do not realize that the two biggest owners of FOX are Rupert Murdoch and a Saudi Prince who name I don't remember. The Saudi Prince actually has 1/3 ownership. With their favorite muslim in the White House, the Saudis aren't going to allow any negative coverage. My only purpose in beginning this thread was to show that Glenn Beck and FOX ignore the really important in favor of the trivial. Yes, people need to know the other stuff, but the lives of these military men should come first. I just wish someone over there would grow a pair and report on LTC Lakin and the Leavenworth 10.
Dawn, that's exactly what Bill saw, that joke repro they posted CLAIMING it was the birth certificate. But Bill, being a fellow Harvard grad (the same thing Bo "claims" to be) doesn't want to give Obama a hard time. O'Reilly is a joke, who cares more about his ratings and tooting his own horn, more than he cares about saving our country.
Kate, Dawn & Carlos...here is something else that really bothers me. The "Leavenworth 10" are really stuck in my craw...there is NOTHING about their situation that impacts Bambi's eligibility. It is strictly a miscarriage of military justice. Wouldn't you think it would be a story Beck would cover to show just how corrupt Bambi's administration is (after all, he covered all the communist czars, got Van Jones fired)? And, I agree with Dawn, the "birther issue" (I hate the label "birther") is not just refusing to cover a story. Beck and O'Reilly went OUT OF THEIR way to impugn, malign, and ridicule anyone who believes Bambi isn't eligible for the office he holds.
Had to reply to this one, even if it's a bit old...

Sorry, but it's true. Obama has already been in office for 2 years and no matter how much people demand this information, it's not forthcoming and probably won't ever be until after "O" leaves office. In short, it's a dead story because until someone can provide ROCK-SOLID PROOF he's not from this country - not just theories - no one in the media will give it any credence. The so-called "birthers" tend to be dismissed because media types think they are beating a dead horse, so to speak.

I wasn't at 8/28, even though I wanted to go (couldn't afford it, as I was 3,000 miles away), I did watch most of the speeches online. I'm sure there was a lot of cases like Lakin's that weren't mentioned and my guess is that Beck had specific things he wanted to talk about while he had everyone's attention. There wasn't time to fit everything in. In fact, I thought that he focused primarily on spirituality and love of country that day rather than politics as a way to boost the morale of the Tea Party and other Constitutionalists at the time.

I've read about them through various online articles here and there, and I agree, Fox should look more into these stories.
Take care,
