I see Brownback got the Gov. nod. I'm not finding any congressional results yet. Anybody have anything?

Ah, I'm so depressed! She's LOSING! She has 35% right now, and the liberal Yoder has 48%! I'm telling you - this is so depressing these LIBERAL REPUBLICANS with all their Establishment support.

You know what... it's not really going to matter what happens in November if we get liberal Republicans nominated now. It's really just not going to matter.

I'm not going to be able to celebrate if Republicans take Congress knowing how many of them really aren't conservative at all. It's really sickening!

The only good news is that this result is based on just 21 precincts out of 599. So it's only about 3.5% of the vote so far...certainly not enough to really draw a conclusion, but it's definitely going in the wrong direction. And it's the direction that has been predicted.

You know what's really pissing me off... there were NINE candidates in this race. 7 conservatives and 1 liberal. These idiot 7 conservatives should have gotten out of the race last week when they knew Lightner was way way ahead of them.

Right now she has 35% and the highest any of the rest them have is 3%! So she has 10 times more votes than the highest of them.

If you took all their votes and added to her total she'd be way ahead of the liberal Yoder.

So, these idiot Republicans who are putting self-interest above the country's interest are going to result in ANOTHER LIBERAL REPUBLICAN IN CONGRESS.

Sarah Palin's choice for Senate, Todd Tiahrt isn't doing too well. It's still early though. He's only got 38% to Jerry Moran's 54%.

There are some numbers here that will be scaring the holy pants off the dems. Look at the total votes for each GOP race, then the total votes for the dem races. Their voter turnout got burried by HUGE numbers in every race. GO TEA PARTY! whether your an actual member, or a right minded tea party thinker. This is what will neuter the progressives for the next two years.

These voter turnout numbers are the most telling numbers of the whole night. I can't believe the spreads!!!

Great point about the turnout for each party!! Very interesting! However, I am now officially depressed.

Kansas Republicans just nominated a LIBERAL to run in November for the House. So - so what if he wins? Who cares? What difference will it make.

They really lost an opportunity to put America back on the right track.

And it goes right back to my main goal with FreedomTorch which is to EDUCATE voters about liberalism & conservatism and why one is better than the other... so that they might see the importance of making sure they're voting for the true conservative over the liberal.

Really sad to see they don't see that yet.

OR, do they? Look at the results below. The conservative whom we supported, Patricia Lightner, got 37% of the vote. The winner got 45%.

Then there were these self-serving idiots who KNEW they didn't stand a chance in hell - yet they were determined to stay in the race and SPLIT THE CONSERVATIVE VOTE! So THE LIBERAL WON!

If they had all dropped out a week before the vote - a week when everyone knew that none of them would get more than 4% of the vote - Patricia could have easily won 55% - 45%. But no, they had to stay in because it fed their ego. I'm so disgusted with them.

Thanks a lot so-called conservatives. Because of putting your own self-interest ahead of country you cost America one conservative seat in Congress!

There will be an active push to keep independents in the races mostly by the DNC. They know they can't win the majority of any of the elections, but they also know that if they can split up the conservative vote they will win none the less. Believe me I am not a party line voter. In fact if it weren't for the situation I just described I would vote for every true independent conservative I could find.

Every election seems to come down to "the lesser of two evils". Even in an election where the republican is liberal, and the dem is conservative we must vote republican. I know that sounds against everything I/we believe, but let me explain why.

We must restore the balance of power which means a republican majority in house and senate. You see the power weilded by Pelosi, and Reid over both houses. What will count most is the leadership in those houses. Without conservative leadership in the houses we are doomed to two more years of destruction. The leadership can at least also buck against liberal leanings in their own party. A republican win, no matter liberal or conservative is better than a democrat win. Just to restore some balance.

Ok, you can all pelt me with disapproval, but show me where I'm wrong. It is what it is.

Okay Chris, so I guess I'll start the pelting! First, I can't think of any Democrat ever who I would vote for - even if he/she were a conservative one. Because they would just add to the Democrat's power.

Second, I don't know of any races where the Dem has been more conservative than the Republican! In that case, something would still be wrong with them Dem because why would he be a Democrat!? And whether he's more conservative or not doesn't really matter, because once he gets to Washington and is subjected to all the Pelosi/Obama arm twisting he'll vote with them whether he really believes it or not.

So I agree with you that in November a Republican win is better no matter what. But a liberal Republican win during the PRIMARIES is unacceptable! And we all just let that happen yesterday in Kansas. And no telling how many other districts! It's really depressing.

Funny Jonathan, I don't feel "pelted". LOL I was taking the "democrat more conservative than a republican" to an extreem. Could it happen? Anything is possible. Will it happen? I don't see it in my lifetime. I guess my point is that we have to shoot for conservatism as hard as we can in the Republican party. Vote conservatives in the primaries. Pressure the hell out of RINO's we are stuck with. But in the end, in November if we go with an independent conservative we will get a democrat. For better or worse the republican party is our best hope. They just have to know that if we vote them in they will be accountable.

Better point I was trying to make. We will be offered the same kind of choices in November elections. A flood of independent conservatives. The only difference is that there will be a dem in the list. The dems will actually campaign for the independents to split the vote. Split up the conservative vote and it won't just be a RHINO republican we have to deal with. It will be a democrat. I guess I'm just trying to put out a word of caution. On principal we want to NOT VOTE FOR THE RHINO. In reality we have no other choice.
