This is pretty unbelievable. The reporter feels it "newsworthy" to single out a black man and ask him if he as ever felt uncomfortable. I like his reply: "These are my people, Americans".
it is newsworthy in that most of the tea partiers are white males. It's just like when they show the few minorities at republican conventions trying to show there's diversity, when it's the democratic party that actually has it. it's good journalism, and it's a question that had to be asked.... though the media elite should be focused on exposing the racist rednecks that make up the group. oh and that guy in the interview, he's probably a self-hating black conservative who identifies with the oppressor. oh i bet that touches a nerve. lol lol lol

Wow Patrick and you dare insinuate that we are prejudice.
For more than 50 years, liberals have been in charge of education in nearly EVERY major urban area in the United States, how's that worked out for the black community? If you want to see the reason bad schools are bad schools, it is because the only answer politicians have to a problem is to throw tax dollars at it. In NJ, where I live, we spend nearly $15K per student, per year, on their education!!!! Do you think these kids are getting OUR money's worth? For that money, each kid could have their own private learning center!!!
If the Democrats are so "diverse" why did 95% of blacks vote for Barack Obama? How is that not a "race based" decision? Thus, the most RACIST organization in the country would be the Democratic Party, for its outright endorsement of racism. There is a slight bit of hyperboyle there, but you get my point, I hope.
White liberals like Patrick...interesting.
Hippie I'm still laughing.
I don't know why this site gives me such joy, but with the cast of characters on here, I can't help myself.
Now back to the issue that was just brought up regarding education... uhmm, when are the parents held accountable? shouldn't they be setting an example at home about the importance of getting an education?

Most reasonable statement I have heard you make in a while Patrick. The overall poor education in inner cities is not a product of the schools, and surely not a product of lack of money. It is a social problem. An overall lack of accountability on the part of the adults. Many not accountable for their own well being, or subsistance, many not accountable for children they bring into the world, not accountable for the actions of their children. I submit that this lack of accountability stems directly from liberal think and philosophy. social programs that don't force someone to have to forge their own place in life. The degredation of the traditional family that may force one parent to work long hours and not nurture children properly. Just the mentality that mom does fine without an education, or a job so why should I worry about it. The notion that no matter what they do "the man" will not let them succeed. The overall lack of dicipline, and being taught how to behave in a manner that is helpful to an educational environment.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about. My dad after he retired took a part time job driving for a school bus company that subcontracted for the city. His daily run had two legs. Pick up the kids from downtown and drop at the city schools, then make another turn thru the suburbs and drop them at their school. We are talking about kids with an average age of maybe 8 in both cases. He would tell me about how half his job was good, and the other half a nightmare. The first leg the kids would get on the bus screaming hollaring out the windows. Punching and kicking each other. Spitting on and cursing at each other. He could never get them there on time because he would always have to stop to break up a fight, or clean up some sort of mess. Then he would do the second leg of the run. The kids got on the bus, and sat down. They talked quietly, and rarely ever had any kind of issue. Pops had to quit the job because he couldn't take the problems. If he wrote a kid up for causing trouble, he had the kids parent on the bus the next morning threatening him because they may have to get the kid to school themselves. In essence defending their kids for behaving badly.
My point here is that no matter the geography, or financial situation of a family, why does the concept of basic good behavior go out the window? Respect for others, or even themselves is non existent. It's almost like less is expected, therefore condoned. With children that behave in such radicaly different ways, how can a teacher, or educational system possibly have equal outcome in both cases no matter how much money you throw at it. It seems the only way to possibly get these kids thru any sort of educational process is to lower the bar drasticly to allow for dealing with disciplinary problems all day long. The kids who do behave, and do want to learn suffer the most. Their opportunity is "stolen" by those that don't.
Now we are on common ground here Hassan. Particularly with your last statement. But still I never saw it as the schools obligation, duty, or even their right to teach morality, and behavior to my kids. Particularly morality as they see it. Good parenting can overcome whatever morality, or lack of that is taught in schools. Yes, it was much better when school, and home were on the same page. Unfortunatly that's not the case any more. Parents need to take matters into their own hands, or what we have is the status quo. School boards realize that most people are now too involved in earning a living, and trying to pay for $150.00 sneakers for their kids than going to Kmart and paying $25.00 and using the extra time to teach them something worth while. They have free reign, and know it. Parental envolvement in all ways is the only thing that can save education.

Patrick has proven once more that there is no more racist a person on earth than a white liberal. White liberals find it utterly impossible to believe that there are some black folks out there that don't feel so inferior that they need his help, or the help of the democratic party to succeed.
No, white liberals like Patrick prefer the black folks that have been selectively bred to drink the Kool-Aid with an insatiable thirst despite the glaring evidence of the devastating toll that liberal policies have wreaked upon the black community. These are the people that are most responsible for the day to day promotion of the liberal mindset, they are the triumph of the changed southern democratic strategy adopted after they realized they couldn’t win with fire hoses, attack dogs and the hangmen’s noose.
If you can no longer lynch them and beat them with sticks, rot them from within, sap their will to overcome by their own energy, control them with entitlements so they live in constant fear of losing them. This way they stay ignorant and servile and they will thank their oppressors who now love them.
Hussan...well spoken by a truly 'FREE' man! Don't let the white liberal slavers do it to you again!
