Here is a short video of Swedish guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen telling why he loves America and why it needs no change (notice how strongly he punctuates it in the vid!). As his next door neighbor from Finland, I relate to him exquisitely! I know exactly what he's saying, that is exactly how it is in Europe!
I highly recommend you watch this funny shortie. It is a perfect reminder why America needs to stay as America and not change to the leftist European model. Yngwie isn't known for his verbal skills but the message is crystal clear: there is a reason why everyone wants to come here!
Yeah... you know it was obvious when he said "America doesn't need to change" the interviewer really thought he was joking!
And the disbelief about everyone being equal... here's what I don't understand Olli. I've never lived in any of those countries. I've visited. I've spent an extended amount of time in France and Japan. But, I've never really lived there and when I go there I can't see those things for myself. Like I can't see that everybody has to be the same. Or that the French have lost the will to live. Because you have to be able to speak the language and spend a lot of time there to start seeing those things.
BUT, I don't have to see them personally myself to know they're true, from the reports I read and accounts I hear from people like you who have lived there.
As a boy I understood how miserable life in the Soviet Union was. But I've never been there. I don't understand why so many people - like this interviewer - can't seem to believe any place is different (and worse) until they actually go and experience it for themselves. It's like they've been brainwashed by people like Obama to believe that America is the worst place on earth. So when a musician says "no, where I came from was worse" they laugh - like it's some kind of joke!
I mean can't they read?
It's funny too... liberals will often ask me how I know. And if I don't say "because I lived there for 5 years" they discount anything else I might say after that. (Of course I always ask them how they know I'm wrong and if they can't say they lived there for 5 years I discount whatever they say after that)!
But when I was growing up - we were taught to read. And one of the reasons teachers used to give in an effort to motivate us to read was to tell us that by reading, we could be transported to other places and times and learn what it was like somewhere else.
But liberals today apparently believe the only way to know anything is by first-hand experience. If you tell them you learned something by reading about it - they just laugh! Always makes me wonder how they think they know about evolution - if not from reading about it. I know they weren't there!

i just want to point out that when you guys say everyone wants to come to america, they usually are flocking to liberal urban centers like los angeles, new york, chicago, miami, and the like... i don't see everybody wanting to come here and live in kentucky, wyomiing, idaho, and the like, though i wish they would california is crowded enough.
oh oh, and i love how he's basically saying he loves America's greed, hilarious. lol lol
Hey, Olli, thanks for posting. Wht is it, (I think I know), that the newcomers to this Country get it? They know what comes in second, and they want the best...US. They are not coming here to change it into some, socialist vision, they know it is great as it is.
Patrick- Deal?, yea!-OK!! I've taken a gulp of sour milk before, and I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. ...I dealt with it, but I wasn't happy for having tasted it. I'm dealing with the O. not acitizen, you're right, he'll most likely never be proven as such,....were dealing with it....not happy about it, but dealing with it. Did you hear Obama, no word of "win", the big missing. It's all about EXIT. How can you strive for victory, if you have to stay at the door, with your foot keeping it open for your exit? Yes Patrick, I heard!!

Patrick that simply isn't true! ONLY ONE of my Finnish friends live in the cities you mentioned; the rest are in Oregon, Michigan, Texas and in other parts of Florida. It's just that the immigrants in the big cities tend to be more visible.
Secondly, even the liberal cities benefit from the established American model. For example, Los Angeles and New York are traditionally the cradles of capitalism and free enterprise. That's why people go there, to do business! Do you know that California is currently losing people because the left has made it so unfriendly to business? Can you imagine that, people getting OUT of California?
And you know that Los Angeles where I live, like the whole state of left- controlled California, is at the brink of bankruptcy. In LA, city workers are being laid off; services curtailed and restricted, and taxes raised to try to somehow pay for the incredible debt the left has incurred!
Thirdly, he's not talking about greed. He's saying that when you make a buck, YOU CAN KEEP IT! That is one of the basics of individual liberty, whether you are greedy or not.
