Wow, my text is coming through all PSYCHO! lol. That's does not, IN ANY WAY, resemble the format of what I'd typed last comment. Oh well, what I meant to say was, LESLI, HOW ARE YOU GIRL? Much love! ....THEN THE REST, hahaha. Oh well, I think I'll call Al Gore now, considering the latest news about Global Warming FUDGING OF information being suppressed....that's gotta have him bummed out. OH YEAH< also, he invented the internet....so I have to ask him about this whole 'typo' glitch. I'll get back to ya with his nuggets of wisdom! ;)
THIS IS FREAKING THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Kevin!!! The "multi cultural" people who are here because they want the American dream and to escape the HELL they were living in. Our country was founded and built on Christianity. If someone has a problem with that...Go HOME where you came from and celebrate whatever the hell you want! There's the door - don't let it hit you in the a$$ on the way out!
well i was born here and raised Catholic, and I'm not a chrisitan , so i'm not going anywhere. oh and here's an interesting counterargument to the myth we wer efounded on christianity
http://nobeliefs.com/Tripoli.htm
that said, i'm going to randomly start saying merry xmas, happy hanukah, happy kwanzaa, and happy allah over the holidays just to keep things interesting and piss everybody off.

Patrick - I was referring to a comment that suggested a good citizen is one who is politically correct. I let my love for what this country was built upon get the best of me and responded in a way I'm not exactly proud of. Although I didn't say it well, I meant what I said. And I wasn't referring to "you," Kevin or even anyone not being a Christian leaving - I was referring to anyone Kevin was referring to that feel they have a right to complain about a nativity set at a courthouse or a Christmas tree in an airport. If they don't like it, there are other options for them, but this country should never be told not to celebrate our holidays the way that we want.
In all honesty, I say Happy Holidays and have for about 15 years because I worked for a Jewish company and I respected the fact that not everyone I come into contact with believes what I believe. But when a person or group of people start suggesting that I am not being a good citizen if I don't identify what religion they are before wishing them well...then that really gets me angry!
I apologize to anyone that I offended for the way that I expressed myself, but I stand on what I said. I just need to cool off first before I respond.
and i still say a nativity set in front a courthouse is not the place... if a church wants one... more power to them... just not in front of a courthouse... the courthouse should not endorse any secular religious preference. anyone of private business may or may not chose to endorse a religious preference as they so chose but not anything that is publicly owned. To do so is wrong because you are saying that you are more important or right than the one who doesn't get endorsed publicly. You have no more right to have a nativity scene up in front of the courthouse than satanists...wich is also a nationally recognized religion even if you dont agree with the religion you have to agree that any religion that is recognized nationally has the same rights as you do. thats all i'm saying.
I may never say these words again
But I actually agree with you Kev.
Well, while I dont totally agree with not having a Nativity set at a courthouse I do see the point Kevin made. I live in Newark Ohio and every year, the day after Thanksgiving, we all gather on the courthouse square to see the lighting of the courthouse with CHRISTMAS lights. They also have other decorations but I am not sure about a nativity scene. I will pay close attention this Friday and see.
Do I have a problem if there isn't one? No I do not....do I have a problem if there is one?.....No I do not. See how easy that is. I do see the point everyone else makes about how people get their stockings in a bunch over whether or not you should say Merry Christmas or not. To me.....I dont care whether you say it or not. But I refuse to make a big deal over it. So why is it so many people feel it is their "right" to have their holiday recognized.
As it has been put many times in this post, if someone says to me "Happy Holidays" I say same to you, or thank you and Merry Christmas. I dont make a big deal and get mad because well I believe in Christ and that is why we have a Christmas and you didn't say the proper greeting. So why should anyone get so irritated. Take it as well wishes and a holiday greeting and go on about your business.
I was watching an episode of Fairly Odd Parents with my sons.....yes I watch it too.... and they made up a holiday name...it was called Happy NewEasterWeeninTimes Day....so it seems to me that is where we are headed if we all dont just sit back and relax and quit being so overly dramatic. When someone say Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas instead of getting offended put a smile on and say thank you.
