Thanks Dave, but i will pass. For every point you give me that christianity is the chosen religion i can give you a counter that says it isn't. Having said that, i do respect Christianities morals that it tries to impart. I also know that thruth is where you find it. Among all great and positive religions of the world they all have the basic morals in common.
Kevin, while I understand what you are saying I hope you understand that it isn't about having a chosen religion. That may come later,but the main thing I believe is whether or not someone believes in God and believes Jesus died on the cross for our sins. And although there are many different religions I believe that if someone believes that, then the religion comes after the Holy Spirit leads you.
I wasn't going to church weekly and I wasn't tithing or reading the bible when I got saved. I knew all about those things but I wasn't doing them. I believed in my heart that God the Creator was real, that Jesus died for our sins but I never truly asked Him to save me and help me lead a life by His word. After I did, thats when I started going to church and became a member and start tithing. All the things related to having a religion came after. So please understand that point and I hope I havent come across as trying to push this. I just wanted you to see a point I was making.
David, I'll be the first to admit that I can be harsh on christians, but i'm shocked by what i hear from them sometimes. as for islam, well i always fashion myself a champion of the underdog... were the situation reversed, and islam were the dominant religion, i'd be talking up christians.

True Catholics are good folk. John Paul the second had a holiness about him that few people can claim, Mother Teresa devoted her life to the poor. How Ted Kennedy or Nancy Pelosi could claim to be Catholic and support Abortion has always astounded me.
i would stand for rational christians who were persecuted... not a bunch of a arrogant neanderthals. and again you make the claim radicals are ramming islam down the world's throat. no those people are terrorists. unlike most supposedly rational christians, most rational muslims i meet are not trying to share with me the will "allah" or the word of "koran" unless I ask a question about it. i love when a christian comes up to me and asks me something like are you a believer, and i proudly say no, and they have a look of absolute horror on their face, when a similar discussion happens with a muslim, it's like oh okay... with no facial reaction at all which is what i look for.

I think the reason that was asked is because of the stance you took, I dont think it was about the religious aspect. But the fact you are catholic explains alot lol My wifes family is catholic and I've always believed that catholics are taught to mourn their faith. My father in law and I always have fun conversations lol
