So CNN is now reading "viewer emails" on the air. You know they select whatever they want to read, right? So here's what that idiot Jack Cafferty has chosen: An Email from "Dave" in Florida: Jack, I'm a left-leaning member of a large, conservative, old Southern familiy, and I see and hear from people daily who do not support our current president. I can tell you that the RACIAL COMPONENT to the opposition is SIGNIFICANT!" From "Jerry" in Pennsylvania: I live in rural Harlansburg, Pennsylvania, and I CONSTANTLY HEAR racist remarks about Obama. Several people have told me they hate him because he's black."
From "Reed" (location unknown)!
"Time could very well prove Obama wrong, but for now, he has been left with an unsolvable problem... and so they will crucify him for not being able to clean up the WHITE MAN'S MESS! It's a 21st century lynch mob using politics and rhetoric as the noose."
From J.D. in Texas
"Lily white tea parties... Didn't anybody notice? That says it all."
From "Lloyd" in Montana
"I just attended a tea party. I saw more racial hatred than I have seen in the last 40 years. I thought I was in Macon, Georgia in the 1960s. The only thing missing were the dogs and fire hoses. I fear this country has learned nothing."
Well, let me tell you something "Lloyd" - I have attended one tea party in New York and one in Washington DC with - they say - nearly 2 million people. And I didn't see any racism at all! Furthermore, what would you, living in Montana, know about Macon, Georgia!?
I hope you guys see what they're doing. They are going to do everything in their power to make it look like we're reacists. Because that's all they have left. Obama is a very desperate man now. His poll numbers are sinking, and support for his prized health care plan is dropping daily. It's now back down to where it was before his big speech last week.
So what do you do when you get really desperate and backed into a corner? You pull out the race card!
But this is evil. Because the charge of racism is taken very seriously in this country. It's pretty much the next worse thing to "murderer" that you can call somebody.
Of course since we're not racist, I don't see any need to defend ourselves from this charge. But I do think we should make the point that the people pulling the race card are doing what desperate Democrats always do... they're pulling the race card.
It's no accident that 27 lefties called us racist yesterday... led by Jimmy Carter who gave the whole racist movement credibility. (He is truly an evil man). And now CNN is taking up the call with these outrageous "emails".
Let's just keep making the point that the charge of "racism" is not an argument against socialized medicine. Let's demand that they give us a legitimate argument.
Robert, I agree with you. They do want to take our eye off the ball AND they want to discredit us with the rest of America so we can have no persuasive influence.
Thing is, I think most non-racist Americans are going to tire of this charge really quickly. And they're going to begin to resent an administration that seems to always be at the center of it!
Don't misunderstand me, Jon. I resent it too but not to the point of distraction or fear of being called a name. I attended a Tea Party Express in Flagstaff, AZ. You went to DC on 9/12. Anybody give a crap there, I mean, really give a crap what Zero and his 'point men' (his new name for czars, btw) think of us. They hate us...really, really hate us, and it's eating them alive that we just keep pushing back.
Why do you think this jack ass of a President is showing up on 7 different shows this weekend and Monday. He's losing...badly. We can only hope the R's in the Senate and the House stand their ground because right now, they're our only hope. If they (the dems) want health care reform, then they can vote the damn thing in all by themselves. I'll not be an accessory to a crime, and by my God, the R's better not either.
You get called something often enough you become immune. These racist charges are something like "the boy who cried wolf" in that people on both sides of the fence are blowing it off. The bad thing is,will be when there is an activity that is TRULY racist, everyone will just shrug and say "yeah right, tell me another one."
This is exactly why I think the black community should be outraged when a white person gets accused of being a racist when there is no cause and no proof for such accusations. They are throwing around the race card now the way the Treasury Department is printing dollar bills. Pretty soon they will both be worthless.
