The problem with Rules for Radicals is that Saul Allinsky never really believed he would win anything so yes it describes how one may seize power, but not how to govern effectivly, the populace of this country was not ready to fall for Allinskys rules, which need a population disenchanted and fed up with their current institutions, this is definitely not the case now nor was it the case when Obama got elected, Obama has overplayed his hand and made a critical error, he has mistaken the public apathy towards politics for a disaffection for our most sacred institutions
I have been called racist by my own mother, so yes I know how it feels when someone you love and have respected for years calls you a racist. So far I have not said much to her about it because right now I have to deal with her in her home so that I can go see my doctors, but once we get back from this cruise we are going on, we are going to look at finding somewhere else to call "home". Once that happens, she'd better watch out. I will be telling her that she is a hypocrit, and that her golden boy is nothing more then a socialist that is destroying this country. I am going to give her all my facts, and wait for her to call me a racist again. When she does my response will be the following:

Cindy, could I offer an alternative? Stay on the high road. You're tops in my book in this forum. Love on your mom, stay away from politics and do your magic where you can. It's like Christianity, talk to those who'll listen, and wipe the dust off your sandals as you leave the homes of those who won't. With all due respect.

Part of knowing your enemy is in recognizing the argument. The race card is played when they have nothing else left. You have stripped them of all their defenses. So now they argue with the only thing they have left. Their emotion. They call you a racist, to take the moral high ground. It's when I know I've won. They can't dispute you on the facts, or logic, or reason.
