In my heartfelt opinion, America is facing the most important election in its 236-year history on November 6. As a nation, we are politically divided, spiritually pagan, morally corrupt and financially bankrupt. In light of the many crises that are brewing in our world today, the next four years will likely bring chaos, wars and revolutions on scales that we have never seen before – and America will not be immune.

Many Christians say they believe that God is sovereign over all spiritual matters. But at the same time they feel that He has surrendered all civil matters to the State. From their point of view, government is being totally directed by carnal men and ultimately Satan. Consequently, they be-lieve that it is not God’s will for believers to be involved in public government. This may be a religious view or tradi-tion, but it is not in agreement with the Word of God.

My heart grieves as I witness the escalating moral collapse and subsequent spiritual decline of America.
At this hour, I feel like I am once again standing by the deathbed of a very dear friend. I have known her all of my life. She is 236, but still too young to die. Her name is America. I love her dearly and do not want her to die.

All of this represents an enormous price topay in exchange for the law’s small increases ininsurance coverage. There is very little “bangfor the buck.”Even more significantly, this law representsa fundamental shift in the debate overhow to reform health care. It rejects consumer-oriented reforms in favor of a topdown,“command and control,” governmentimposedsolution. As such, it sets the stagefor potentially increased government involvement, and raises the specter, ultimately, of agovernment-run single-payer system downthe roa..

Now that the law has been in place for more than four years, we can assess its impact on the economy of Massachusetts. In a previous study, the Beacon Hill Institute estimated the effect of the Health Care Reform (HCR) on state and federal governments and the private health insurance markets, including employee contributions to their private insurance plans.1 The study found that, on average, HCR has driven total health insurance costs up by $4.3 billion. Since HCR was passed, premiums for single plans have increased by $81.13 per year, while family plan..
