"The New Colossus" Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-w...
  • Posted: Wednesday, May 22, 2013 4:31 pm By Mark StolarskiU.S. Marine Every year at Memorial Day, people thank me for my service in the military. But Memorial Day isn’t for me. Yes, I am a veteran, but Veterans Day, not Memorial Day, is the day for all veterans. I'll write more about Veter...

The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils. In seeking to do so, it encounters obstacles which are deeply rooted in human nature. One is that by the very order of things such evils are not demonstrable until they have occurred: at each stage in their onset...

Second to None: An Evolution on our Right to Bear Arms I signed the waiver. My name in ink meant no turning back. I walked into foreign territory with my goggles and protective ear gear and, amid the loud blasts and shells flying at my feet, I was ready to get my hands on a trigger. Firing a gun f...

With Memorial Day approaching Americans should be preparing to honor our veterans and military heroes currently fighting for us as well as remembering those we have lost. This honor should be especially due from our own government that has sent these brave men and women off to war. Unfortunately, th...

A driver was stuck in a traffic jam on the beltway outside Washington DC.  Nothing had moved for 30 minutes.  Suddenly, a man walks up and taps on his window. The driver rolls it down and asks, "What's going on?" "Terrorists have kidnapped Congress, and they're asking for a $100 million...

Last week I had an Accountant (CPA) come into my office with her husband who happened to be a banker. She had requested the meeting because she needed “a good person to refer her clients to for investment and insurance needs.” What she was really looking for was aneasy way to make m...

My White House Bin Laden Celebration Pictures/VIDEOS

[UPDATED: US NAVAL ACADEMY COMMANDANT SPEECH AT VERY BOTTOM]

I was at the White House last night (Sunday night) celebrating the death of Osama Bin Laden. Below are my photos and videos. It was crazy with people climbing light poles, songs (someone brought a drum set), singing our national anthem, people climbing in all the trees right outside the White House, chants of USA, USA, USA, and just a great celebration with Americans for justice and freedom. Many foreigners there as well! There were probably 4,000-5,000 people there. The celebration was still going on at 3:45amEST when I went to bed.

The celebration was non-partisan and it was wonderful. Me being a Tea Party organizer, I naturally loved seeing some Gadsden flags there and didn't care at all when some Obama campaign posters showed up. Politics had no place at last night's celebration and it showed. It was pure bliss.

Share with your friends and family by email, Facebook, Twitter etc., this historic event.

And to all you better men than myself who currently serve in our military and our veterans for their service, including a bunch of my family and some buddies who have served a few tours the past 10 years: Thank You.

The fight is far from over but we're behind you guys as much as we can be.

Cathy Leftin Kellen.... I really think it is great that our enemy is dead!!! I am just concerned about how the Marxist will use it to try to get himself elected.... As a society, we have such short memories..... some people will see him in a different light now.......  more

RR Rocks By the looks of it, most of those dancing in the street must have been between 10 and 13 when 9/11 happened.

    Just a thought.

Kellen Giuda RR, the first half of the celebration was a good mix of older people and younger people with everything ranging from suits to sweats. But the second half devolved into a college gathering. They all seemed to genuinely care though. But it was definitely th...  more

RR Rocks Meant nothing negative at all. Just an observation and actually good to see young people that care enough to get away from the x-box.

Kellen Giuda Didn't take it as negative at all. :-) A lot of people noticed that and some were even talking about it at the event. Now we just need to balance the budget!
