On January 28, 2011 Barack Obama and administration officials made public statements endorsing the overthrow of Mubarak in Egypt. This public disclosure made it clear that he was working behind the scenes to ensure Mubarak's ouster. They began portraying Mubarak as an evil monster, declaring him a "dictator". Apparently this word "dictator" was thought by the administration to be so inflammatory that its use would outrage Americans to the point of supporting the Obama administration's efforts to overthrow him.
Many people became alarmed and demanded that the administration explain its course of action if the Muslim Brotherhood were to take control of Egypt. The administration never denied that possibility, instead they promised us that the Muslim Brotherhood wasn't so bad after all.
On February 10, 2011, Obama's Director of National Intelligence James Clapper clarified the administration's position on the Brotherhood by telling the world, they weren't your Daddy's Muslim Brotherhood. They were no longer dangerous. They weren't the Muslim Brotherhood of our collective memories. They had changed. They were peaceful now and non-violent. In his testimony, Clapper said:
The term 'Muslim Brotherhood' is an umbrella term for a variety of movements. In the case of Egypt, a very heterogeneous group, largely secular which has eschewed violence and has decried al-Qaida as a perversion of Islam. They have pursued social ends, betterment of the political order in Egypt, etc."
Yet, conservatives everywhere could see exactly what was coming. On January 28, 2011, after Obama announced his withdrawal of support for our long-time ally Hosni Mubarak, I wrote a forum post here on FreedomTorch.com, in which I predicted that if Mubarak fails, "The Islamists will take over in the name of the Muslim Brotherhood...". I also likened the results of the toppling of Mubarak to the toppling of the Shah of Iran in 1979, suggesting that things would get much worse in Egypt just like they did in Iran after the Shah.
But for all of the last year and a half the administration has promised that things would get better as freedom and justice would prevail in Egypt.
Now we have proof that OBAMA WAS WRONG and conservatives were right. On August 8th a member of the Egyptian media was crucified - hanging naked from a tree in Cairo.
According to Bare Naked Islam, a "Sky News Arabic correspondent in Cairo confirmed that proestors belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood CRUCIFIED those opposing Egyptian President Muhammad Morsi, naked, on trees in front of the presidential palace while abusing others." Sky News has since removed the article from its website, apparently out of fear of reprisals. (After all some on their staff could be crucified).
Several Arabic websites have reported recently that the Muslim Brotherhood has terrorized the secular media, torturing some and crucifying a few.
The following links are to Arabic websites. However, if you open them in Google Chrome and enable the translate function, it will translate them into readable English. Or you can open them and copy and paste the URL into Google Translate.
As you'll read on these sites, these attacks have been directed against members of the media who have fought hard against new Egyptian President Muhammad Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood. During the Egyptian presidential campaign Mursi pledged not to restrict press freedoms. The Muslim Brotherhood of course accepts no blame for the recent violence against the press, saying the people committing the violence, "were ordinary people upset about the disgusting insults that some media have been publicizing."
In another report a Muslim Brotherhood official said, "We have nothing to do with the moves against the press. Members of the public have filed complaints against a libellous channel and newspaper and the prosecutor took action. We are opposed to closure and confiscation even if a media outlet is hostile to us, but we support holding accountable those who make mistakes."
So apparently, it's okay for the media to be hostile towards Mursi and the Brotherhood, but on the other hand it is a deadly mistake.
WND.com just posted a video of one of these crucifixions. It is without a doubt the MOST disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life - so watch at your own risk. But I feel we must watch it to understand who the Muslim Brotherhood really is.
You can watch it here.
